The Twist

A surfer twists on a rising wave, slipping over the kelp forests and rock formations below. 

On a wave, his turn breaches the white cap of the cusp, shaping the curve of his ride. Managing a few more turns, the ride reached the outcrops of a rocky shoreline, breaking the zigzag ride. At the last moment, he flips over the wave, leaving a brief trail of his memorable ride in the wake behind.

It's a bit different from my usual top-downs for surfing. I took the opportunity to catch some expert kelp surfers catching waves between the rocks and kelp forests around the coast. This small group of pro-surfers literally catches waves within centimeters or inches of rocks and obstacles nearby, expertly weaving through these cutting waters. Great fun watching (and even more fun filming!).
