A flash of light from a centurion on the rock warns of ominous dangers to passing ships.

This is one of my original favourites when I was digging back recently into my archive collection. I just couldn't let it go by without revisiting this lighthouse series and letting myself explore how I could rework the subject, particularly this one.

My mind was set to emphasis its esoteric, mysterious sense, which led to this composition. I used a play of light and low exposure to emphasis the dark and craft a photo that both highlights an almost surreal setting, yet manages to keep the original capture in perspective. Sometimes in photography, like all art, its really fun (and special) to be able to get a photo speak for itself because you have gave yourself permission to go freestyle.

Wild Shores Collection

Welcome to our wild shores, where the two worlds of turning ocean tides meet and dance with rocky, tumbling coasts and serene sandy shorelines. This is our place to taste the salty air that brings so much oxygen to our joy.

We explore the ever-present energy of the sea as it welcomes those who ride its tumbling waves, push through placid moments, and absorb its vast expanse. The sea, an ocean of the infinite, provides Mother Nature's oceanic forces to live in and find ourselves. We delight in its beauty, fly with its waves, and move through its tidal zones to find our moment of infinity.
